Protect Our Coral Reefs!

Jacques-Yves Cousteau

“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”

Donate to our Reefs-Go-Live campaign today!

Every year, CCMI finds new ways to protect coral reefs. By donating, you help us to make a difference to ocean health for the future.

Many of us were inspired to explore the ocean at a very young age thanks to virtual experiences.  The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau inspired generations of conservationists. Our children may have an affinity to the ocean thanks to Disney’s Finding Nemo or through the BBC’s Planet Ocean series.  No doubt, many have fallen in love with the ocean as a result of virtual experiences.

If you believe that we protect what we love, then time is running out to support the extraordinary programs at the Central Caribbean Marine Institute.

Our scientist and students are working to unlock the secrets of the sea; they are searching for answers and making discoveries to improve our understanding of nature.  Our marine science team inspires hundreds of students with their mission for students to develop a great new love for the ocean.

In the next 3 days, you can make an enormous impact on coral reef conservation by supporting the next generation of virtual marine science learning.  Developed and hosted by CCMI’s Tom Sparke and Katie Correia, Reefs-Go-Live is our live underwater series designed to reach students all over the world.

With your funding, we will buy full-face masks, specialized computer production equipment, and subscribe to a web host that allows us to broadcast our programs into classrooms and other venues, including museums and galleries.

I hope you will consider supporting the CCMI End of Year Campaign in the next 3 days. You can inspire hundreds of young students to fall in love with the ocean.

There is no better time to cast a spell and make a tax deductible contribution then now!
