Kate Holden, CCMI’s CEO, will deliver a workshop exploring how marine sustainability issues can be communicated in ways that help people understand environmental challenges, develop a sense of connection and concern, and feel able to respond. This workshop builds on Kate’s Ph.D. thesis, looking at how video and social media content can contribute to engaging people in ocean-related issues to improve stewardship.
Who the workshop is for:
This workshop will give environmental NGOs, corporations, tourism-related businesses, and individuals who want a foregrounding in how to better communicate both environmental issues (and solutions), as well as company ESG commitments.
Kate Holden has worked with CCMI since 2009. She has an MSc in Sustainable Development and over 20-years’ experience as a marketing and communications professional. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Exeter, looking at youth, media, and ocean stewardship. Kate and her team manage the grant writing, donor management, fundraising, communications, and strategic advancement for CCMI.
