Learn. Advocate. Act.

At Festival of Seas, CCMI shared the new video: “Learn. Advocate. Act.”, highlighting the unique moment we are in – and the urgency of acting now for the future of the ocean and coral reefs.

While we are rapidly approaching climate tipping points and coral reefs are the forefront, we still have hope that things can change. CCMI continues to lead ground-breaking research into coral resilience, adaptation, and restoration combined with ocean literacy and education programming to translate our research into action and inspire the public and next generation of environmental stewards.

We can do more, and at CCMI, here is how we are increasing our efforts and meeting the urgency of the moment:

Learn – investing in research to understand how ecosystems can adapt and how to improve climate resilience

Advocate – growing engagement efforts to empower communities and share our research- through local programmes at CCMI, community outreach efforts, and Reefs Go Live, which reaches 300,000 people in 40+ countries!

Act – upscaling our commitment to education at all levels with a focus on local primary and corporate entities in the Cayman Islands while simultaneously expanding climate-smart restoration efforts to preserve endangered biodiversity

We encourage everyone to join us in our new campaign: Learn. Advocate. Act. Together we can have a profound and far-reaching impact for the future of our ocean and coral reefs.
