Programme Announcement: Women In Ocean Science
CCMI Launches:
The WOMEN IN OCEAN SCIENCE AWARD
Recognizing and supporting individuals who are making outstanding contributions that will have a lasting impact on the ocean science community. The Women in Ocean Science (WIOS) Award will support 6 scholars and 24 internships over a 6-year period. The WIOS Award has oversight from an Advisory Council of established ocean science professionals, that will provide mentorship, networking opportunities and development for the participants. Each scholar will be awarded a 2-year field research opportunity to study in Little Cayman, in the field of ocean science. Two interns per year will be available to support each scholar, which will provide them with experience and networking opportunities, crucial for career development.
The first award is established thanks to a gift from the Brian Melito and Jessica Colker Trust.

SUBMISSION
Completed applications can be submitted as a single pdf via email to WIOS@reefresearch.org.
Award Application Deadlines
Scholars – Complete application submitted by 28th February 2020
Interns – Complete application submitted by 15th March 2020
Award Announcements
Scholar Award will be announced on 15th March 2020.
Intern Awards will be announced by 1st April 2020.
