Ways to give

Your support for CCMI can come in many forms and at any time – from a donation through our online giving platform or a donation of stock, a donation now or as part of your estate planning – your support of our work is greatly appreciated! Here are some of the ways you can support our work to protect and restore coral reefs in the Cayman Islands – and throughout the Caribbean region.

CCMI is registered in the U.S. as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (ID# 22-3609293); in the UK (#1104009) and in the Cayman Islands (NP-3). U.S. donations are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Your online donation to CCMI can be made with a few simple clicks through our online giving platform, and you can direct your donation to an area of CCMI’s work – research, education, or our Coral Fund capital campaign – or choose ‘General Funds’ to help support the area of greatest need! You can donate with a credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer!

LEGACY GIVING

Including your favourite charity in your estate planning is an incredible gift you can make to continue their work into the future. All legacy gifts are unrestricted funding to CCMI to underpin our operations and provide important initial funding for new projects unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Supporters who wish to leave CCMI a set amount or a percentage of their estate in their will should speak with their attorney about legal requirements for this to happen. Please also contact CCMI’s advancement team to let us know of your plans so we can keep you updated on events, projects, and programmes that are of interest to you.

DONATE CAYMAN AIRWAYS MILES

CCMI is a charity in the Cayman Airways Miles Ahead Programme, which allows unused miles to be donated to CCMI to be used in support of projects, programmes, and fundraisers. Donating your miles is easy! Complete the form on the Cayman Airways website with your info and select the Central Caribbean Marine Institute under the drop-down list of organizations.

GIVE THROUGH PAYPAL

You may donate directly to CCMI from your PayPal account, adding a donation to each purchase you make through the platform, and CCMI receives the money directly from PayPal! You can also donate to PayPal Giving Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity where PayPal covers the fees, and CCMI will receive the funds within 15-45 days. Please note PayPal Giving Fund will email your tax receipt.
